SaveHOLDEN – A 32-year-old Leominster man is dead after he was hit by a car while changing a tire on his pickup truck in the breakdown lane of a Holden highway.
State police say Chad Lebouf was struck on Friday afternoon by a car driven by a 42-year-old Athol man as Lebouf changed his left rear tire on Interstate 190.
Lebouf and the other driver were both taken to a Worcester hospital, where Lebouf was pronounced dead. Police did not describe the injuries to the Athol man, but said they were investigating whether a medical condition played a role in the crash.
